Background: For many years, a ministry to street children has provided a place where they are loved and receive consistent Bible teaching.  Some of these boys and girls were refugees from the war in Iraq. Some of the early participants, now adults, are church leaders not only in Syria but in places around the world where they have resettled. Praise God for the fruit of faithful teaching!

  1. Iraqi youth in Syria. These children’s families fled the war in Iraq, only to become victims of a new conflict in Syria. PRAY for the traumatized children. Ask God to provide inner stability on the Rock, Christ Jesus, while there is no security in the world around them.
  2. Kurdish youth in Syria. God is bringing many Kurds to Christ across the nation of Syria! Pray that the children of these new Christians will also believe and that whole families will grow in spiritual maturity.
  3. Children/Youth workers. Before the war, Syria had an active youth ministry. Today many of those workers have left the country, but a few children’s workers remain and are trying to encourage and strengthen ministry to kids and teens in multiple churches. Pray that God will raise up a new generation of dedicated workers and that they can be trained.
  4. Summer camp. Pray for those who will plan the camp program for this year. Ask God to guide as they select a safe location and recruit staff. More funds are needed for more children to attend.
